If you are a non-believer, He feels like a ‘coincidence‘. He will ‘feel‘ like a draw , a pull towards something, naturally: your mind is not engaged; it is nothing you have to think about: it’s an inner knowing–crystal clear , a pull from your stomach, your core. Sometimes He comes as a ‘light unto your feet’ to move you Himself, sometimes as a voice outside of your head when you are so far gone , other times He might come as a phone call, or a person right on time, or like for me, all of these, and several months ago, a text message seemingly out of nowhere.

I woke up one day to a text, from where I had no idea. The text told me that I could now apply for unemployment assistance with the provided link and an email that wasn’t mine and that I had never applied with. Long story short (and after reporting possible fraud), I clicked the link to a state government website, followed the directions and shortly thereafter received a lump sum of over $13,000 of unemployment back pay, after almost a year of struggling to overcome the world with almost nothing to my name but God. Several months back it was a radio station advertisement that took me to a website where I had unclaimed money. Several months back before that when it all began, I was being guided through several rounds of eviction court with a lawyer for the management company who also helped me, to meet a counselor who in less than a week after my final court appearance approved me for $4,000 in rental assistance. A family friend seemingly out of the blue called the day before my first day in court and I suddenly found myself being interviewed and hired by a staffing agency less than a month later. It’s all a blur; I just showed up. I gave up trying to ‘fix things’, and over and over again He came , to put down my fear of Satan and relearn my faith in Him.
And there’s more where that came from. The struggle to overcome so many things seemed never-ending at times and impossible, but time is man-made and it was beautiful–2020 was a great year for me.
You’d be surprised what might happen when you just stop moving. When you are still, and let God, your life will begin to move without your help. It will seem as the Israelites, receiving their orders from God on where to move, how to move, when & what to move through the Wilderness of Sinai:

The Cloud and the Fire‘
God moving His people from Mount Sinai to Canaan, the Promised Land:
Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire. So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents. At the command of the LORD the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped. Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey. So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the LORD they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the LORD they would journey. So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey. Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey. At the command of the LORD they remained encamped, and at the command of the LORD they journeyed; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the command of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
